As the Director of Lockrem Johnson’s Estate I would like to share the part of his legacy that involves his composition students, like myself. Lockrem wrote a Guitar Sonata for me, and at my behest, 7 Preludes for Guitar for my classical guitar students. He also encouraged me to compose music, not only for guitar, but for other instruments, including voice. As the former director of the Guitar works for Puget Music Publications, Inc. (now defunct) I have made scores, parts, and recordings available for download on this website. I have chronicaled other’s works here also, all of which were inspired or influenced by Lockrem’s teaching. It is my hope that more of these will be recorded and can be uploaded to the website, as well.
